I have always had a love for taking photos, ever since I first got a camera as a child. But my passion really developed after I had my children and I have subjected them to being in front of the camera ever since!
In 2014, I decided it was time to put my family first and retired from the Royal Air Force after serving for 22 years. Later that year I converted my photography hobby to a business and Marsha Cooper Photography was born. Having an interest and skill for capturing my own family led me naturally to capturing moments with other families.
Most of my sessions are aimed at creating natural moments. Some great images arrive when you relax and forget about the camera and enjoy the time spent with family and loved ones. My maternity and newborn work aims at capturing the beauty of pregnancy and all the amazing tiny details of our babies before they grow and change.
I will walk you through the whole process. From the planning stage of your session where we will meet and discuss your needs. I will tell you what to expect during your session, when your images will be ready, the viewing session and finally the ordering of your beautiful custom wall art. I will where possible deliver your products to you.
As well as lifestyle photography, I volunteered to take photos for the local animal rehoming centre (BARC) in Cyprus. I found this to be very rewarding as I worked closely with the staff to help photograph very nervous dogs in a hope to find them their forever homes. This has evolved into a new love for pet photography. We met our cat Lexi at BARC and made her a part of the Cooper family.
I returned to the UK in March 2017 and I have established my business in the local area of Faldingworth, Market Rasen. I have a fully equipped studio and the ability to travel to capture moments in a variety of locations.
I am a volunteer photographer with two amazing charities Remember My Baby and Butterfly Wishes Network. Both charities are involved with photographing families at very difficult times providing precious images and memories to last a lifetime.
I am also a registered member of The Guild Of Photographers, as such my images are assessed to the highest standard by a full panel of experienced judges. I have received numerous bronze awards in their image of the month competition. I took part in Talk Photography Forum's photographer of the year competition. I won three times in the monthly competitions. I was named the Talk Photography Photographer of the Year for 2015 which is quite an achievement in a forum of nearly 60,000 members!
It makes me extremely proud to call myself an award winning photographer.
